Jess spoke about her ‘Fun with Cryogenics and Superconductivity.’ Jess is a PhD student at the Southampton Institute of Cryogenics and manager of the Talk to US! Public Engagement project hosted by the Southampton Education School. She has a passion (some would say addiction) for public engagement, having carried out over 30 activities mostly based on her liquid nitrogen-fuelled workshop Frozen Aliens and Superpowers. She is a founding member of Bright Club Southampton and a proud supporter of Ada Lovelace Day, International Women’s Week and National Women in Engineering Day events.
